    BAFFA Presents Music in November

    Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA) presents two evenings of music in November.

    On Saturday, November 18th, Dr. Richard Wright will conduct the Bay Area Symphony Orchestra in Firsts, Familiar and Forgotten, the music of Bizet (Carmen Suite No.1), Tchaikovsky (First Scene and Waltz from Swan Lake) and Kalinnikov (Symphony No.1).  The concert, at the Bayport-Bluepoint High School, begins at 7:30 PM. The high school is located at 200 Snedecor Avenue in Bayport.

    On Sunday, November 19th, the Bay Area Chorus, conducted by Martha Campanile, presents Rise Up in Festive Song. The chorus will sing pieces by Clereau (Rise Up in Festive Song), Schubert (The Grand Halleluja), Buxtehude (Cantante Domino Canticum Novum), Bach (Dona Nobis Pacem), Rutter (Te Deum) and Martin (Song For the Unsung Hero).  The concert begins at 4:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Patchogue. The church is at 10 Church Street in Patchogue.

    Both concerts are free to the public but a freewill donation is requested.
