Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I,Ref-Sayville) will be collecting baskets to give to children in need for the Easter and Passover holidays.
“Children of families in crisis just want some normalcy, which includes celebrating holidays and receiving treats. I talked to my team in my district office and we wanted to help bring a little cheer to these children, and we hope the community will join us in our efforts,” said Garbarino. “I applaud the great work of the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk for all they do to help those in need and their children, and I am happy to partner with them to show these kids that there is a whole community that cares for them.”
Garbarino’s district office will be collecting the following items:
- Easter/Passover baskets;
- Bags of candy;
- Chocolate bunnies;
- Small books or toys; and
- Practical life necessities, like hygienic products and household items.
The items may be dropped off at the district office, which is located at 859 Montauk Highway, Suite 1, Bayport, NY 11705 until April 10. Constituents may call 631-589-0348 or email email@example.com with any questions.
