    Movie Review “The Founder”

    by Joan Lengyel

This will be short so you can read the review in under a minute or so.

Yes, we are talking about a burger joint called “McDonalds” where speedy service is an innovation back in the 1950’s.  I think everyone associated with this movie will receive Academy Awards, especially Michael Keaton. Oh, this film is not all fun and games, you can call it a tutorial on American business: lawyers, accountants, brains, morality, persistence, risk taking, relationships and a trip down memory lane to the “good old days.”

Really, this movie is as gripping as our front page news today. There is no end to the telling of this great story.  A few names must be mentioned, the director John Lee Hancock, the writer Robert D Siegel and, once again, a big thank you to the “Weinstein Company” for giving us a great film.
