Statement from Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I-Sayville)
“There are always many things to consider at the start of a new legislative session. I am eager to closely examine the proposals set forth by the governor and Legislature.
I pledge to continue working to pass meaningful government reform laws. There were some steps made last year, but I know we can delve deeper into the matter of ethics to ensure New Yorkers are given the government they deserve. Additionally, I am committed to a grassroots approach to economic and community development here on Long Island. I will also fight for our student’s fair share of school aid and I will further advocate to empower our local educators to shape the educations our children need. Albany has always taken a heavy-handed approach to governing, and it’s time to strengthen our municipalities and communities.”
