    Save Those Cards

Keep Islip Clean’s annual Card Recycling Drive promises to be a record breaker, with cards already pouring into the KIC office just days after the official start to the project.

http://www.sayville.com/banners/kay2016/FA16_%20Kay%20Cameron.jpgMany people contribute used holiday cards in January, but greeting cards of all kinds are also wanted. KIC’s Junior Commissioners will sort the cards, remove the backs and send the neatly prepared fronts to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. Volunteers at that organization will construct “new” cards, repackage and sell them to support children’s programs.

KIC is also accepting brand new cards with their envelopes, which will be used for a letter writing campaign to soldiers overseas.

Greeting cards can be dropped off at the KIC office, 660 Main Street, Islip until Tuesday, January 31st. For more information contact the office at 631-224-2627 or keepislipclean@optonline.net
