Suffolk Federal is proud to announce that it has officially opened the doors of its newest branch in Sayville, NY at 213 North Main Street (Stop & Shop Plaza).
The opening was marked with an official ribbon cutting which included members of Suffolk Federal’s Board, staff and several Long Island elected officials including Suffolk County Comptroller John M. Kennedy, Jr., Town of Islip Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, NYS Senator Thomas Croci’s District Office Director Eric Hofmeister and Sayville Chamber of Commerce Board President Robert Blair. During the ribbon cutting Comptroller Kennedy shared with the attendees that he was also a member of the credit union and was inspired by their dedication to Suffolk County. “Through such initiatives as their financial education modules, banking products and services as well as their support of the local workforce, Suffolk Federal contributes to the economic and financial stability of Long Island, making it a great place to live and work. This is a vibrant organization and a great asset to Long Island,” he added.
As one of the leading credit unions in Suffolk County with assets in excess of $1 billion, the expansion of Suffolk Federal into Sayville will provide another opportunity for members to have greater access to valuable financial services and benefits. “We are excited to be opening our 9th location in Sayville. Sana is responsible for managing all branch operations and new business development to further organizational growth and strengthen current relationships with membership. Sana has an extensive financial and banking background having worked in various managerial positions with PNC Bank in New York City and Missouri. Her expertise includes banking management and working collaboratively with senior executives to ensure the branch’s positive position, identify business and personal financial solutions, and provide innovative staff training. Recognized for her ability to drive business growth through quality customer service and performance, she has built a reputation as a results-driven executive. She holds both an MBA and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. “I am excited to become part of the Suffolk Federal team and looking forward to being an integral part of the Sayville community,” Ashfaq explained.
