Daisy Troop #2995 Collects Pet Supplies to benefit Local Animal Rescue Group

    by Pamela Fitzpatrick

Cherry Avenue’s Daisy Troop #2995 participated in a”Take Action” project and collected pet food, leashes and collars which were donated to Last Chance Animal Rescue (LCAR).

http://www.sayville.com/banners/Yourdog_appaws.jpgTroop Leader Jen McCormack, Co-Leaders Mary Dolan and Megan Cook, and the Daisies  organized the collection drive as part of their animal journey.  The girls collected donations and used a portion of their  cookie money to purchase food and collars for the rescue.

LCAR volunteer Kris Diehl accepted the donations, bringing Chase, a LCAR dog her family is fostering, and Caleb, who was adopted from the rescue, to meet the girls.

Congratulations to Daisy Troop 2995 for a job well done!
