    Community Ambulance Company Responds to Plane Crash

    Community Ambulance Company responded to a plane crash in Bayport, Long Island on April 10th at 7PM. A piper plane took off from Bayport airdrome airport and called for help with engine trouble in the air.

    The pilot attempted to turn the plane around but lost altitude too quickly. Pilot recalls aiming for a clear street, and crashed hitting a tree and pole before the ground.

    Community Ambulance Company was dispatched at to a report of an aircraft crash at 3rd Avenue and 2nd Street. Community responded with 3 Advanced Life Support ambulances to treated on scene and transported to Stony Brook University in serious condition.

    Community Ambulance Company remains on scene to support hazmat operations with Bayport Fire Department and Suffolk County Police Department.
