by Linda Mittiga, Sayville Schools Public Relations

Two Sayville elementary students, Fourth-grader Maya Christiansen and Third-grader Katerina Michaelides, both from Mrs. Robin Laxton’s Cherry Avenue art classes,

were selected to have their artwork exhibited in the Colors of Long Island: Student Expressions at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook, from Feb. 26 through May 1, 2016.

This annual exhibition of artworks created by students in grades K-12 includes more than 300 works from 135 public and private schools across Long Island.

Maya and Katerina will be among those honored for their hard work and dedication at a reception at the museum. Congratulations!
