Sayville Troop 184 Work on First Aid Merit Badge

    by Mark Zender

Earlier this week, fourteen Scouts from Sayville Troop 184 visited Community Ambulance to work on aspects of their First Aid merit badge.

The Scouts enjoyed a great lesson on adult and infant CPR, learned about automated external defibrillators and toured one of Community Ambulance Company’s five ambulances. The First Aid merit badge is an Eagle-scout required merit badge and includes education on management of illness and injury. Community Ambulance Company works in conjunction with local businesses to provide AEDs in readily accessible public areas throughout the Sayville community.

The Scouts and Leaders of Troop 184 would like to thank Captain Stephanie Golub, Member Fred Schreiber and Member Thomas Montalbine for donating their time, effort and knowledge in educating our Scouts.

Troop 184 is sponsored by the Sayville Chamber of Commerce.
