    PARADISE GONE? Our Fragile Environment

Two local artists, Julianna Kirk and Victoria Beckert are showing through their art, comparison views of our planet in sublime moments and a foretelling of a potentially frightening future.

Unless we raise our consciousness, stop looking away, and be pro active, our planet may be choked out of existence. This is a very important exhibition to see.

Exhibition will be held at the BAFFA Gallery, 47 Gillette Ave, Sayville, NY, from October 3rd through October 11th. Gallery hours are 12-4 PM October 3, 4 and 10, 11, 2015. The Gallery is also open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM.

An artists’ reception will be held on Saturday, October 3rd from 4-6 PM.  Guest speaker, Kevin Berler, professor of Earth Science will speak about global warming.  This collaborative show is free and open to the public.

Julianna Kirk was an art teacher and continues working as an artist in her retirement. She has been concentrating on her global warming series for 6 years now and says it is a passionate approach that uses her art to give voice to a cause. Her glass is represented in several LI galleries.

Victoria Beckert has studied many different art mediums but has a passion for vibrant- colorful watercolors. She has shown her work locally and teaches watercolor workshops throughout Long Island.
