Field Day Fun at Eastern Suffolk BOCES

Field Day at Eastern Suffolk BOCES Masera Learning Center in West Islip encompassed eight different stations. Students rotated around a sponge race, basketball toss, bean bag toss, bubble fun, an obstacle course, parachuting, volleyball, and a 50-meter run. First stop for many students was the temporary tattoo tent!

Summer Supervisor Rich Fiorucci said, “The end of summer camp is the perfect excuse to have a Field Day. The activities are customized and fun for these special needs students, providing them an opportunity to use some of the skills they have learned throughout the year.”

Robert, a student from Sayville UFSD and Special Education Teacher Trish Emert enjoy the 50-meter run together.
