    Community Ambulance Company of Sayville holds Fire Island education Event

    On Tuesday, July 28, Community Ambulance Company of Sayville hosted their 6th annual Fire Island education event at the Fire Island Pines Property Owners Association Whyte Hall.

    Mr. Robert Delagi from Suffolk County EMS lectured the group on “Firefighter Rehab and Medical Monitoring.” Over 155 providers from 46 various public safety agencies throughout Long Island and Queens were given instruction on how to better provide medical aid on fire scenes.

    Community Ambulance Company, Sayville Ferry, Fire Island Pines FD, South Shore Community Org, Southside Hospital, SC EMS and the Pines Pantry all donated either food, equipment or services to make this event a continued success.

    The Community Ambulance Company of Sayville has been providing emergency medical services for the past 64 years. Made up of primarily volunteers, Community Ambulance Company answered over 4,300 calls for assistance in 2014.
