    Movie Review: Ted II

    by Joan O’Sullivan Lengyel

If you need a good laugh go see this movie, Ted II.  CAUTION!  The language in this movie is, blue, raucous, off color, not for the faint of heart.  The audience ate it up like a Subway hero.  There are movies that can just turn you off with cuss words.  What saves Ted ll is the writing, the cadence, the acting.

Seth MacFarlane is the voice of Ted our star, the author of the piece and the director.  Mark Wahlberg co-stars with Ted. Also starring in the film is Amanda Seyfried and Morgan Freeman. Wahlberg is one of the best actors Hollywood has to offer us today.  He takes MacFarlane’s script and turns it into top notch entertainment.

The animation of Ted the bear is well executed along with the acting of MacFarlane as the voice of Ted.  Laughter was bouncing of the walls of the theater from start to finish.  The audience was mostly male between the ages of 17 and 21 and the house was full. What separates this movie is the writing no doubt about that.  It is giving you a story, wait until you see the surprise cameos of major performers in sports and the movies (top notch stars).

A really funny movie and a  laugh is good for all of us.  What Ted is up to in “ll” is not necessary for you to know.  It’s rather pedestrian.
