Sayville Historical Society’s Wood Carving Presentation

    by Ed Neale

Carver Joe Novack, and his wood carving partner Noel, presented a most interesting program that was one of the two monthly programs for April which were presented at the Sayville Historical Society’s Exhibits Building located on Edwards Street.

Mr. Novack demonstrated a variety of their wood carvings that included birds, novelty chains, walking staffs, and carving tools to all those curious about wood carving.

Peter Fox Cohalan, Suffolk County historian, will present a program titled “The History of the Great South Bay” on May 6th.  You are invited to make reservations for a reenactment of the 1863 wedding of Caleb Edwards and Clarissa Petty on May 18th.
