    Cadet Mockeridge Wins ROTC Award

    On June 15th at the Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville, Nancy Wierzbowski, Regent of the Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter NSDAR, presented the ROTC Award to Cadet Kendall Mockeridge of the Lt. Michael Murphy Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

    Ms. Mockeridge is a graduating senior and an honor student at Center Moriches High School. She has accepted an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where she will join the Class of 2017. She was presented with a medal, a certificate, and a check for $100.
    Founded in 1920 in Patchogue, the Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is dedicated to volunteer service, educational enhancement, and historic preservation.
